Africa: Black And White

I think the power point actually proves the saying " A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words" .
For my favorite photo i really couldn't pick one so i picked 4. The reason i picked these photos is because i just like the messages that i got out of them. Like the first photo kind of made me feel bad because it seems like the elephant is all alone and its herd left him. The second photo just reminds me of my big brother when he was younger. My brother liked climbing trees and he is fast like a cheetah. The third one, it kind of looks weird to me because I've never seen an elephant in a forest I'm used to seeing them in grasslands or sand. and the last on because it just seems like they are all one big family.
1st photo-  Simplicity- the background is plain and free of any foreign object so you can focus on the elephant.
2nd Photo - Also simplicity - the background is plain and free of any foreign object so you can focus on the cheetah.
3rd photo-Framing- i think the photographer purposely took this photo farm away to add some depth and framing.
4th photo- Balance- i think the 4th photo has a lot balance because each elephant balances each other.

What kind of camera did he use?      Pentax 67 system and "normal" lenses

What is his reason for taking the photos?
To Show Everyone how animals were living before humans ruined it.

What is his hope by taking these types of photos?

Showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist.

"You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close."
Showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist.
