Unusual & Interesting Photos (Part 3)
1. Below each photo are suggestions for photographers. List 3 of the ones you think are the most important for photographers to remember when they are out shooting. Always connect with your subject, never stop looking for the right angel to take a photo,
2. Pick your favorite painting, get a copy of it and post it on your blog.
3. Then go find a REAL photo that looks like your painting. DO NOT GET AN ACTUAL PHOTO OF THAT PAINTING, find a photo that copies the style of the painting, but is NOT the painting.

1. Why did you pick this photo? I picked this picture because it shows the excitement of the winners, and the feeling of defeat of the loosing team.
2. What category did you find this photo? Sports Feature
3. What award did it win (what place)? 3rd
4. What did the photographer do that attracted your eye? (I am not talking about the subject, but what the photographer did) She captured both the retains of the wining team and the loosing team.
5. How much do you think the subject of the photo weighed in the judges minds when they picked this photo as one of the best of 2012? I think they thought it was a great photo but not as good as the one they picked for 1st
6. What do you think the photographer had to do that was unique to getting this photo? Keep her eyes open to catch this moment while the girl in the white was in frame.

1. Why did you pick this photo? I Picked this picture because i think its funny, its so small but survived and it actually seen instead of everyone just focusing on the game.

4. What did the photographer do that attracted your eye? (I am not talking about the subject, but what the photographer did) What caught my eye is the the small little frog and next to him the muscular legs of a soccer player. and how clear he got the picture .
5. How much do you think the subject of the photo weighed in the judges minds when they picked this photo as one of the best of 2012? I Think the judges liked this picture a lot and i think thats why they chose it to be 1st place.
6. What do you think the photographer had to do that was unique to getting this photo? he had to follow the frog because it was moving while he was taking the picture, he had to have the right camera and he had to keep his eyes open.

Unusual & Interesting Photos (Part 1)
1.What is your reaction to his work? I think his work is cool, its different.
2. How do you think he made these photos? I think he uses a photo editing program and puts the picture of different layers and adjust each photo.
3 Think about some buildings you have seen, which ones would be good to take a photo like this? Tell me about those buildings, where are they, could you get easy access to them? I think I would want to take a picture of the empire state building and edit it to look like this. The empire state building is in New York and its pretty easy to see.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics
The main point of the story is when you aren't allowed/supposed to manipulate photos to make something false become true. I think this typer of photo editing is unethical because what you are doing is lying to the public.
I think this picture was unethical because Bush didn't really debate. When this was published it could have cause arguments and problems for the USA.
I think this picture isn't as bad as the others because even though they put the pyramid's closer together they are still somewhat where they are supposed to be.

Touching People
1. What do you think about this project and photo essay? I think its a smart idea, its different, but its cool.

What would you do if someone approached you with a camera and asked you
to participate in a photo shoot and then asked you to touch a stranger? I would probably just walk away.
3. Think of an unusual photo shoot similar to this one that you think would be fun to go and shoot. I think it would be fun going to shoot at an airport.
4. Finally, tell me what you thought of the photography, are the photos good? Do you like looking at them? I think the photos are good, they look like the people actually know each other... well some of them do.

I like this picture because it's mother reuniting with her daughter that she hasn't seen in 7 months. I like how you can see the tears of joy on the mothers face. I think its inspirational, also it makes me feel like don't take things for granted. I think it made the 40 best pictures taken because its so inspirational.

William Klein is a professional photographer and filmmaker. Klein was born in New York April 19th 1928. He graduated high school at the young age of 14 and then enrolled in City College Of New York to study sociology. Klein has been noted for the ironic way he captures and approaches his work.

The Camera
Pentaprism - A five-sided prism with two silvered surfaces giving a constant deviation of all rays of light through 90°, used chiefly in the viewfinders of single-lens reflex cameras.
SLR- Single Lens Reflex
DSLR- digital single-lens reflex camera
Diffraction-The process by which a beam of light or other system of waves is spread out as a result of passing through a narrow aperture or across an edge, typically accompanied by interference between the wave forms produced
Aperture- a device that controls amount of light admitted; a hole, gap, crack, slit, or other opening
Shutter- A device that opens and closes to expose the film in a camera
Exposure-The action of exposing a photographic film to light or other radiation
Depth Of Field- The distance between the nearest and the furthest objects that give an image judged to be in focus in a camera
F-stop- A camera setting corresponding to a particular f-number
Focal length-The distance between the center of a lens or curved mirror and its focus
Aperture/Exposure compensation/ erase button-
Viewfinder diopter adjustment- Viewfinder diopter adjustment allows video makers with glasses to
shoot without them. The controls are usually a ring around the
viewfinder tube, or a slider below it. To use a diopter adjustment,
focus the lens on a distant scene, then adjust the diopter until the
viewfinder image looks sharpest.
live view/ movie record-
AE Lock-This enables you to lock the current exposure reading and re-frame the
shot using the same setting. A half-press of the shutter is normally
required to activate this function, fully pressing only when you want to
capture the image.
AF point selection-Auto and manual selection
quick control-speed and/or incline adjustments.
ISO-International Organization for Standardization
Menu-A list of commands or options, esp. one displayed on screen
Drive Mode- One of the functions related to the action of the camera when the shutter is release. It includes sequential shooting and AF sequential shooting.
white balance-The color balance on a digital camera
AF mode- Auto Focus Mode
Playback-The reproduction of previously recorded sounds or moving images
Display Button-
Speaker- electro-acoustic transducer that converts electrical signals into sounds loud enough to be heard at a distance

Great Black and White photographers
My First Pictures
The first picture is what i think is my worst picture because i only got his shirt. Another reason i don't like the first picture because its the blurriest one I took. I also think its my worst picture because it was really at anything because i pressed the button by accident.
The second picture I think is the best picture i took because it clear. I also like the second picture because its fousing on him. But i think the main reason i like this picture is because of his pose.
